This year we have received 2210 applications to our film contest. This is the greatest proof that the topic of disability is important to film makers from the whole world. Now we need to face a real challenge – select a few dozen long and short feature, documentary and amateur films from this great number of films which will compete for Butterflies 2019. As always we want to present beautiful, moving, touching films but also the ones that are difficult, evoking discussions, original, giving viewers a possibility to get to know what film makers around the world think and show concerning this topic and what challenges, problems and experiences their characters face. We will take you on this journey once again in September.
