Integration Film Academy

Integration Film Academy is a cycle of film meetings organised as a part of 12th EFF Integration You and Me throughout a year. The meetings take place once a month in Alternatywa Cinema in Joachim Lelewel Koszalin Public Library. Among the audience there are for example the participants of Occupational Therapy Workshops, prisoners from Koszalin prison, seniors, high school and university students.
The theme of the Academy is concentrated on the changes related to the presentation of the disabled that have taken place. The idea of the meetings is to broaden the listeners’ knowledge concerning disability and stereotypes related to it, as well as to show fascinating films touching the theme of disability. The screening of some films is accompanied by lectures concerning the leitmotif of the films. The meetings will be conducted by Piotr Szarszewski, a media studies expert from Humanistic Department of Koszalin University of Technology.
The meetings will be free of charge and will be open to organised groups as well as individuals.
